Worship and announcements and greet each other….

Why in the middle of the worship service do we have greeteach other, shake hands, etc. and then announcements and often attempts,sometimes successful, sometimes not, to be humorous.  It breaks the flow of worship; it interjectsthe mundane in the middle of something very sacred.  Would you have announcements in the middle ofserving the Lord’s Supper?  I thinknot.  Why in the middle of worship?
